Please join us at A.C.T.S Board of Advisors Monday, August 16, 2010, 830 p.m. meeting via Skype or a conference call. This confirms that A.C.T.S Board of Advisors continues to meet bi- monthly to prepare celebration parties and The Big Event recently named 20/20 Vision.
Most Christians know that united prayer preceded Pentecost and every recorded revival since. However, relatively few of us know that when prayer stops, revival stops. We are celebrating 20 years of encouraging Prayer in Action for revival in Australia with a plan to capture Southeast Asia for Christ by 2030
For the first time after 20 years of increasing united prayer, we are now reporting the signs of revival in Australia. The first signs began in the Central desert where John and June Blackett reported revival amongst children and the youth in two Aboriginal communities two years ago. Shortly thereafter Carl and Gail Musch, A.C.T.S. Regional Prayer in Action Coordinators in the Top End of Australia, reported two communities in Arnhem Land where every adult responded to God’s saving grace. This sparked revival and much Aboriginal evangelism across the Top End of Australia. Brett and Michelle Nel, A.C.T.S. Prayer in Action Encouragers in Yirrkala, N.T began reporting first signs of revival beginning with their Kid’s Club and then amongst the adults in this regional Top End community. John and Annette Ives
have reported revival in Elcho Island, especially amongst the children and young people with worship continuing since last Easter. Importantly, Pastor John and Maria Tonga, A.C.T.S Prayer in Action Coordinators in Brisbane, Qld, reported that amidst massive united revival prayer a quickly organized crusade at the Kingston Butter Factory with Aboriginal evangelist Dr Bill Newman resulted in 1,700 + attendees and 192 Christian commitments in the first weekend after Easter, 2010.
We must pray and encourage prayer to keep the revival going in Australia and growing throughout Southeast Asia. The objective/strategy for our meetings is, “We will encourage A.C.T.S. Prayer in Action Warriors to go the second mile”, 20 more years of prayer in action, to keep the revival going in Australia and growing throughout Southeast Asia. Home parties and 3 church meetings have successfully been focusing on a retrospective of the last 20 years since Carol and Fred were called to “… evangelize in Australia… the Aborigines” with a glimpse of the future. The Big Event will celebrate the 20/20 Vision God has shared with us for a Christ like Australia by 2020 as a stepping stone to capturing Southeast Asia for Christ in 20 years by 2030.
BOA’S next monthly meeting will focus on elements of the 20/20 Vision celebration (i.e. the program at Gordon College’s new Science Center). If you are able to personally attend the meeting it will be held at Byfield Parish Church from 8:30 - 9:45 pm on, Monday, August 16.
