Dear Prayer Warriors,

By the grace of God in reponse to your prayers, our visit to a village one and a half miles east of Nanning was miraculously fruitful. Our target was the salvation of the family of the pastor's wife, a family who brought us to an outreached village without one Christian.

By the grace of God on the day of arrival, our hostess's mother, younger sister, sister in law and brother in law became Christians through our personal evangelism.

The host pastor advised us that we should concentrate on this family alone because we were facing a huge enemy and risked being thrown out of the village for further witnessing. That night, a Shaman woman, the only English speaking person in the village, invited us to be guests of honor at the banquet prior to the feast worshipping the ancestors during Chinese New Year the next day. We declined stating that we were going to show a film at the host's house that night. The Shaman woman later replied, "Well, you can show the film at the banquet." We queried, "where?". As she hesitated, our hostess from the village boldly stated "in the temple". The Shaman lady responded, "Surely, in the temple." Arriving at the banquet we were greeted by Communist Party members and escorted to the head table. After dinner we were directed to show the film on the wall outside the temple so more people could see it.

Upwards of 100 persons viewed the "Jesus for Children" film. Nearly all of the 35 who persisted through the chilled and drissly showing responded to God's saving grace at the end of the film and Fred's testimony. The respondents urged us to go into the temple so we could pray for them individually and personally out of the rain. Oh, please praise God that you prayed just in time for these souls who were barraged the next day by tens of thousands of fire crackers as the lion dancers, drummers and cybal players marched inside of every home in the village in a most intimidating fashion. Our remaining stay in the village consisted fulfilling the invitations of the most influential responders to God's savng grace including a business owner, a member and employee of the Communist Party, the Shaman lady and her neices.

The pastor and his wife have dedicated their church's efforts to follow up the 42 new babes in Christ and their families. Unfortunately, we were "nicked" by the cold village life and returned by a 12 hour overnight bus to New Territories, Hong King with influenza. Please pray for a complete and total healing so we can fulfill our obligations to lead the showing of the "Jesus for Children" film at three locations, including those outlined in the "Hong Kong Message Supplement" (please see below for more information), and participate in street evangelism with local Wei Tau leader, Kingsley Chung Wai Sing and Jared Weich whom we are staying with.

Please pray that every person we contact will be moved by God to fully accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Risen Savior.
