Dear Friends,

The world is saturated with events that are scary and untenable. As Christians at this time, we have to be connected to God by an upwards vertical commitment (faith and trust) that is followed by a horizontal commitment (hope and prayer).

We are engulfed by fear and worry surrounds us. Let us not allow fear and worry to rub off on us. Again, consider entrusting yourself to God’s mercy in prayer and thankfulness.

Living amongst life’s concerns can be compared to the long term exercise of gardening. Gardens with huge amounts of flowers of a wide variety of colors and types are an investment of hard work. Gardens begin with hard work. Clearing the land isn’t fun, but it is essential. Digging holes for the seeds isn’t enjoyable, but it, too, is a necessary step. The work of regular watering and weeding is also a necessity.

Weeding brings the story to us. We are all “weedy” people, sinners saved by grace, who need to pull out personal and relational weeds (Sins like fear and worry) so that we as the followers of Christ may blossom with trust, grace and grow to love like Him. As the saying goes, “bloom where you are planted!!”

• Brent, Deidre, Miriam, Louise, Jason, Brendon, Jack, Pastor Ralph, Diesel’s operation, Mia and Malia, recently born twins, Fusi’s heart problems, Pastor Malvena’s cancer, Miriam, and Clare and Andrew’s not attending church.
• Praise God for A.C.T.S. Volunteer Evangelist, Terry Medling’s dedicated work among the most neglected 4 – 14 year olds living rough in the Town Camps circling Alice Springs. Two more just responded to God’s saving grace. Terry is now discipling 17 new Christian Aboriginal children…some on a daily basis.

• Please pray for A.C.T.S. Volunteer Evangelists in many Aboriginal community’s outreach meetings before and after Christmas. Pray that the meetings will be well attended and a most fruitful witness of God’s people working, loving and caring for one another. (John 13:34-35)
• Please pray that all systems will work for a maximum number of Biblical resources effectively placed in Aboriginal communities.
• Please pray for Fred Schaeffer as he waits as a public patient, for a surgery date prior to Christmas for a double hernia and another minor repair.
• Praise God for Carol Schaeffer’s full recovery. Her recent phone calls gained 41 Biblical Christian resource orders in Outback communities. Please pray that they will arrive in time for Christmas.
• Pray that Homer Allen’s encouraging others to be supportive of A.C.T.S. outreach will provide 2018 donations needed for Biblical resources plus travel expenses to the Outback, the Graham Tour, and training meetings across Australia.
