Dear A.C.T.S. Action Prayer Partners,
“….I have set before thee an open door and no man can shut it…” Revelation 3:8b (KJV)
The great news is that we are seeing a widespread revival throughout Aboriginal communities which is spreading across Australia aided by massive efforts like Franklin Graham’s 6 city tour of Australia’s capital cities.
For the first five cities, 43,000 have heard the Gospel and over 2,000 responded to God’s saving grace! Thousands of people are being moved and discipled by receiving free resources from the Bible Society and Campus Crusade (CRU) through A.C.T.S. growing national network of Volunteer Evangelists.
A.C.T.S. Volunteer Evangelists/Coordinators and their leaders have come alongside BGEA staff to encourage prayer, evangelism, training, and attendance at Franklin Graham’s 6 Gospel events.
The first three events are illustrated below:
Perth (RAC Arena) – Graham’s first event (February 9) drew more than 13,000 people which filled the area with 2,700 watching the live stream. All combined, over 650 responded to God’s saving grace!
Darwin (Convention Centre) – Graham’s second rally gathered a crowd of 3,000+ including hundreds of Aboriginal people on February 14. Carl Musch (A.C.T.S. Regional Coordinator) brought together Aboriginal Christian leaders with BGEA staff for advance work for Franklin’s Darwin rally.
Unfortunately, now is the rainy season and many were unable to attend due to slippery mud and washed out roads. Carl persevered and drove 600 km’s/430 miles to reach the remote community of Weemol to pick up 6 stranded Prayer Counselors and brought them over rough road to evangelize at Graham’s Darwin event.
Darwin is known as “Australia’s Tough ‘Top Enders.” The Aboriginal people were unabashed to embrace Christ. 1,100 came forward including 800 Aboriginal adults and children responding to God’s saving grace.
Carl Musch enthusiastically stated, ““It was great to be at the Graham Tour in Darwin. It was the most unifying event I have seen in 30 years of ministry in the Northern Territory, and I hope the unifying factor was the simple gospel message of salvation and the question of eternal destiny, sin and forgiveness.”
He then returned and went back to visit those that missed the Darwin Event. Carl shared, “After having dropped back our team in the morning, I did a sort of a Franklin Graham approach in neighbouring Bulman to about 30 people (3 responded to salvation and another 10 for general prayer.) Today was another 300 km/210 km/140 miles of washouts and mud back to Katherine tomorrow night Beswick.”
Bunumbirr Marika, who travelled across the world with Yothu Yindi in the 90’s, was part of Graham’s Tour – Darwin event for months, stated, “I believe this is the beginning of a river flowing from the throne of God in the Northern Territory.” Bunumbirr and his wife, Vanessa, prayerfully will continue to work to follow up and disciple the 800 Aboriginal respondents.
Brisbane (Riverstage) – Graham’s third event attracted more than 8,800 people. The crowd danced for joy as more than three hundred responded to God’s saving grace while hundreds more responded after watching online.
Ram Marrero (A.C.T.S. Training Coordinator) trained up a team of 4 evangelists some of which witnessed in downtown Brisbane for months prior to the Graham event and then fruitfully served as BGEA Prayer Volunteers after Franklin’s Gospel message. Ram summed up the Brisbane breakthrough, “Christians got blessed, sinners got saved and God got the glory!”
Please pray with us for:
God’s will be done concerning the respondents to His saving grace, especially to the seeds planted by the BGEA and A.C.T.S. volunteers.
His provision of evangelists, pastors, teachers, mentors and friends for each new or newly confirmed Australian Christian.
A Christlike Australia by 12/21/20.
Resources to train, equip and send missionaries to and from Australia.
Fulfillment for all those praying for Australia’s revival and the Schaeffers’ health.
“Love Like Christ!
